C Mc gives her account

Guest writer, C Mc, daughter of Supercoach, sister to son of Supercoach gave her account of the Touchers loss last night 8-6 in this report
-----------
Tonight on the 10/2/15 the boys put in 110% tonight. Down 3 tries to at half time!

Rookie Declan helped with some great fielding and fantastic passes, as well as Bernie who had a sore knee still tried his hardest.

As this was written or started at halftime I came up with the idea of writing my own story inspired by FMJ.

As I noticed that the boys were quick from dummy half and they also went back all the way when touched. Yelling and running as that was the game tonight with a few tries and a few penalties along the way.

Touch footy is a game for everyone, no matter how tall or how small, how fast or how slow touch footy is for everyone and all of you should be proud for giving it a go!

As tonight we had on the field and beside the field of play we had a total of 8 Overtouchers".
------------
A clear and concise report I am sure you all agree.

Great work C Mc

Yours in looking for alternative employment in the sports writing space

Our Proudest moment - The Chairman

Touchers take their third premiership in a row   2012 premiers Against all odds the OverTouchers continued their domination of the "Over 35's" competition after the toughest night in club history. Coming into Finals night in 4th place, the players knew that if a three peat was to be achieved then they had to be at their best over the next 60 minutes and win 3 games in a row. Starting the night with 13 players it was all hands on deck. Knowing that Faz and Kiwi were still carrying injuries, Harro came out of an enforced retirement to be on deck, if his services were required.  The semi final was played against last weeks opposition, Sodens Warriors. The Touchers started impressively despite the opposition fielding as many under 35s as over 35s. But this time the defending premiers would not be denied.  A flying Supercoach Bill scored down the far right side and that one try was enough to take the Touchers through to the Final. Faz ruled himself...

Touchers snort the sweet smell of victory

It was around September that I sat in close quarters with the Chairman as we plotted the playing list for the 2016 Touchers. The roster was at 16 on that cool spring day. We thought then it was too many. We deliberated over player skill on and off the paddock. Not that anyone was in true danger of losing their accreditation as a Toucher. As our creed stands as 'Once an OverToucher, always and OverToucher'. The decision had been made minutes after the completion of the 2015 season that shall not be mentioned, that we would return to the fields of glory and bring down the wrath of redemption after 3 years in the wilderness. If I think hard, I believe that over the years there have been about 30 Toucher's in our squad. To name them all would be superfluous to the needs of this little story, plus how can I remember them all after 7 years. But the core group has been there for those 7 years and there have been ups and downs. Moments of madness many times and I will share...
